Depart Kathmandu early morning in a comfortable private 4WD vehicle along the Pasang Lhamu Highway. Wind through the scenic middle hills past Trishuli Bazaar and the district center of Dhunche, entering the gates of Langtang National Park. Descend to the trailhead town of Syabrubesi along the Bhote Koshi riverbank to check into your upgraded deluxe lodge.

Cross the suspension bridge over the Bhote Koshi river and follow the roaring Langtang Khola eastward into the gorge. Climb through dense subtropical forests of bamboo, oak, and blooming rhododendrons.
