After the incredible Everest Base Camp Trek that highlights the base camp itself and Kalapatthar 5545m, the climbing escapade to the summit of Lobuche Peak begins.

After the success of getting to all important landmarks of EBC Trek, we head towards the base camp of Lobuche Peak and eventually conquer its summit to add an extra thrill to our high attitude trip into the Himalayan wilderness.

The trek is based on teahouse but the climbing section after the trek is based on tented camps. Itinerary

Follow our carefully planned Lobuche Peak Climbing itinerary, designed with proper acclimatization and comfortable trekking days throughout the journey.

On your arrival in Kathmandu International Airport, one of our representative will pick up you and escort you to the hotel as well as help you to check-in at hotel. After your refreshment, you will be briefed about the next day trip. In the evening, we, the Hiking Nepal will offer you a welcome dinner introducing Nepalese cuisine and culture.

On a clear bright morning, you will fly over the snowcapped mountains to one of the most electrifying high altitude airports, Lukla at an altitude 2900 m. Your guides and porters will accompany you here for the trek. Hence, the trekking adventure kicks off. Beginning the trek, you will slide down almost 500 meters to Dudh Koshi River. Then, the trek winds along the trial beside the River towards Phakding. Passing several mani-walls and boulders engraved with Buddhist prayers, you will arrive at Phakding where you will spend your first night of your trek.

Things to Know – Lobuche Peak Climbing

  • Peak Height: Lobuche East stands at 6,119 meters (20,075 ft) and is considered a trekking peak with technical climbing sections near the summit.
  • Location: Situated in the Khumbu region of Nepal, close to Everest Base Camp and overlooking the surrounding Himalayan giants including Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse.
  • Climbing Grade: Classified as PD+ (Moderately Difficult), suitable for climbers with good physical fitness and basic mountaineering skills.
  • Best Seasons:
  • Spring (March–May) – stable weather and clear mountain views
  • Autumn (September–November) – crisp skies and excellent climbing conditions
  • Accommodation:
  • Teahouse trekking during the Everest Base Camp section
